Overview

We are looking for a Server/Culinary Assistant. This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Assisted Living Community in Oakdale, MN. This food services schedule includes; 

  • casual/on-call (able to pickup shifts ahead of time to fill in for pre-planned needs or help with last minute support)
  • day or early evening shifts available
  • 3 shifts a month, 1 being on the weekend. 1 holiday a year

Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Serves prepared meals to residents and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting
  • Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and happiness with their meal service
  • Sanitizes equipment, work areas and maintains supplies
  • Assists with meal prep and special events
  • Provides kitchen support when needed with dish washing and cleaning of floors
  • Answers phones and communicates requests appropriately

Qualifications

  • No previous experience required, but prefer work experience in a customer service setting
  • Excellent customer service skills and proficiency, teamwork and positive demeanor required
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Ability to interact compassionately and communicate effectively with residents and staff

Vaccination Update

As part of our ongoing efforts to protect the wellbeing of our teams and to provide a safe and healthy environment for the residents and communities we serve, all Ebenezer employees are required to receive the COVID-19 vaccination series. [NOTE: the COVID-19 vaccination requirement does not apply to Ebenezer Homeowners Association (HOA) employees and Ebenezer Florida employees. Annual Flu vaccinations, while not required, are highly recommended for all Ebenezer staff..

Ebenezer new hires who are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 and are currently not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to receive their first dose prior to their start date and their second dose (if receiving Moderna or Pfizer vaccines) within 4 weeks of their start date. Accommodations requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
