Overview

Join our growing team at The Pillars Child Care, managed by Ebenezer and located in Minneapolis, MN by the U of MN.  We are looking for a hard-working Teacher to join our team of amazing professionals.  Our brand-new campus that we share with The Pillars of Prospect Park Senior living has been designed to give daily opportunities to interact and build friendships between the children and their Grand-friends.  We offer an outstanding program that brings multiple generations together in a stimulating co-learning environment.  Pillars teachers will work together to create a loving, positive, respect filled early childhood environment with promotes cognitive, social-emotional and physical development.

 

We are looking for a Early Education Child Care Teacher to support Ebenezer’s Intergenerational program by caring for and supervising the care of our children in their assigned age groups.

 

This full-time position includes: 

  • 80 hours per two weeks
  • Monday- Friday

Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Implementing developmentally age appropriate curriculum.
  • Develop and implementing weekly lesson plans
  • Assessing each child's development and administer Parent/Teacher conferences twice per year
  • Maintain a child friendly and orderly classroom
  • Implementing effective guidance and support strategies
  • Connect with parents on child development issues, policies and other concerns related to their children
  • Report any concerns to the director regarding staff or classroom issues
  • Maintains confidentiality of records and information of staff and families
  • Participates in program areas such as intergenerational activities
  • Supervise heath, safety and overall wellbeing of the children at all times
  • Maintain certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

High school Diploma/GED - Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota Rule 9503.0032 



Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
1-2 years’ experience working with young children

Ability to lift 40lbs.
CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification
