We are looking for an Child Care Teacher to support Ebenezer’s Intergenerational program by caring for and supervising the care of our children in their assigned age group. The Child Care Teacher will lead, plan and organize childcare program activities to ensure that the program provides the highest quality childcare available.

Early Education Child Care Teacher schedule includes;

  • 80 hours in two weeks

Responsibilities/Job Description

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Implementing developmentally age appropriate curriculum.
  • Develop and implementing weekly lesson plans
  • Assessing each child's development and coordinate Parent/Teacher conferences twice per year
  • Maintain a child friendly and orderly classroom
  • Implementing effective guidance and support strategies
  • Connect with parents on child development issues, policies and other concerns related to their children
  • Report any concerns to the director regarding staff or classroom issues
  • Maintains confidentiality of records and information of staff and families
  • Participates in program areas such as intergenerational activities
  • Supervise health, safety and overall wellbeing of the children at all times
  • Maintain certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

High school Diploma/GED - Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota Rule 9503.0032 



Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
1-2 years’ experience working with young children

Must be able to lift 40lbs.
CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification
