Overview

Ebenezer offers a robust compensation package for Maintenance Assistants with excellent benefits and wages starting from $18.65 - $24 / hour. Wage determinations will be based on related experience.

 

We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to support our senior living community. This maintenance position is responsible for supervising preventative maintenance programs and repairs building systems and equipment and grounds keeping for the Senior Assisted Living community.* No certification or formal education required.

 

This part-time repairs position includes;

  • 20 hours every two weeks
  • Day shift, no weekends!

Deephaven Woods Senior Living is located in the heart of Deephaven, MN just two blocks west of Highway 101 and near Highways 7, 12 and 494 within minutes of Wayzata and Minnetonka. We offer Independent/Assisted Living, Memory Care and Enhanced Assisted Living for a total of 78 units. Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Repairs and maintains physical equipment and structure(s) including:
    • Items on work orders 
    • Check kitchen equipment
    • Greases, checks belts and oils on laundry equipment
    • Changes filters and belts on air handle units
  • Grounds keeping; removing snow from sidewalks and walkways, trims around bushes, trees and sidewalks
  • Assists with moving boxes, furniture and apartment turnover
  • Also assist with housekeeping as requested
  • Trains other building staff, as needed on basic trouble-shooting of building systems and equipment

Qualifications

Required:

  • One to three years previous experience in a similar environment/duties
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, vendors and visitors
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal repair instructions and directions

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Vocations/Technical training preferred
