Are you looking for an Early Education role in a welcoming and exciting intergenerational center?

We are looking for a Child Care Teacher to support Ebenezer’s Intergenerational program by caring for and supervising the care of our children in their assigned age group. The Early Education Teacher will lead, plan and coordinate childcare program activities to ensure that the program provides the highest quality childcare available.

 

  • 80 hours in two weeks; 10 hour shifts

TowerLight Child Care Center, located in historic St. Louis Park, Minnesota is only 10 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, near public transportation and the crossroads of Highways 7 and 100. Managed by Ebenezer, Towerlight offers breathtakingly appointed units for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and state-of-the art Memory Care and Enhanced Care Suites, and our Intergenerational child care center.

Responsibilities/Job Description

  • mplementing developmentally age appropriate curriculum.
  • Develop and implementing weekly lesson plans
  • Assessing each child's development and administer Parent/Teacher conferences twice per year
  • Maintain a child friendly and orderly classroom
  • Implementing effective guidance and support strategies
  • Connect with parents on child development issues, policies and other concerns related to their children
  • Report any concerns to the director regarding staff or classroom issues
  • Maintains confidentiality of records and information of staff and families
  • Participates in program areas such as intergenerational activities
  • Supervise heath, safety and overall wellbeing of the children at all times
  • Maintain certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

High school Diploma/GED - Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota Rule 9503.0032 



Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
1-2 years’ experience working with young children

Ability to lift 40lbs.
CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification

Vaccination Update

As part of our ongoing efforts to protect the wellbeing of our teams and to provide a safe and healthy environment for the residents and communities we serve, all Ebenezer employees are required to receive the COVID-19 vaccination series. [NOTE: the COVID-19 vaccination requirement does not apply to Ebenezer Homeowners Association (HOA) employees and Ebenezer Florida employees. Annual Flu vaccinations, while not required, are highly recommended for all Ebenezer staff..

Ebenezer new hires who are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 and are currently not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to receive their first dose prior to their start date and their second dose (if receiving Moderna or Pfizer vaccines) within 4 weeks of their start date.
