Overview

  • This nursing position is eligible for a $5,000 Sign On Bonus!
  • Ebenezer offers a robust compensation package with competitive benefits and wages ranging from $29 - $37 per hour. All Wage determinations will be based on similar experience.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a variety of professional nursing duties in compliance with the Comprehensive Home Care regulations and follows established policies and procedures for our beautiful Assisted Living/Memory Care building (Meadow Woods) in Bloomington, MN.  

  • 72 hours in two weeks
  • Evening shifts; start time typically 2/230 pm
  • Every third weekend and holiday rotation

As part of the Martin Luther Campus Senior Community, Meadow Woods Assisted Living is a residential setting by woodlands, wetlands, mall of america, and the Minnesota River Bluffs. Our 113 unit assisted, independent and memory care buildings are located in East Bloomington, MN near public transportation. Our staff encourages participation in the many regularly scheduled activities and lifelong learning programs. Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Provides skilled nursing care such as; implementing practitioners’ orders, ordering and assisting with medications and supplies, operates medical equipment, and charting practices
  • Lifts and transfer residents as needed, Initiates emergency treatment as needed
  • Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff
  • Updates RN with current observation and completes documentation of resident health status
  • Communicates changes in residents conditions to relevant individuals
  • May support RN by completing resident assessments, service agreements and care plans

Qualifications

Required:

  • MN LPN licensure
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers
  • (3 week grace period for BLS) 
  • Able to work independently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Previous healthcare experience
  • Comfortable using computers, hand held devices, phones and fax machine
