We offer the full spectrum of senior care services including Assisted Living, Transitional Care/Therapy, Long-term Care, Memory Care and Adult Day Care.     This is an on call/casual position as needed.



    Responsibilities/Job Description

    Role Summary:


    The Float Chaplain is a spiritual care provider serving at several Ebenezer Assisted Living Sites and providing Ebenezer wide on-call services as needed. This position is responsible for assessing spiritual health needs and providing direct spiritual care and consultation to residents, families and staff. Within the Spiritual Health Services (SHS) department, the Float Chaplain works with the interdisciplinary team and the Executive Director on site. Work responsibilities include providing worship services, bible studies or spirituality groups, facilitating support groups, identifying and responding to spiritual and emotional needs of residents and staff. The float chaplain connects to spiritual/religious community organizations to address specific spiritual and religious needs of residents. The position reports to the Corporate Director of Spiritual Health Services.


    • Post baccalaureate degree or post baccalaureate degree in process in theology or religious studies or training as required by the chaplain’s faith group
    • A minimum of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE, Inc.)
    • One to three years of experience as a chaplain or minister, preferably in long-term care
