The Prairie Island Indian Community, a federally recognized Mdewakanton Dakota Tribe, developed this elder assisted living lodge designed to serve members of the tribal community, as well as the City of Welch and the surrounding community at large. Tinta Wita Tipi wishes to celebrate its Dakota and community elders through honor, care and respect while encouraging family involvement. The beautifully designed single-story building is located on 18 acres of tribal land in Welch, MN and focuses on incorporating Dakota culture and community into the assisted living setting. Our staff is local and believes in Ebenezer’s mission to heal, discover, and educate for longer healthier, meaningful lives.
