Overview

Starting pay rate of $15.76/hour plus a temporary additional $4.75/hour through 3/31/2022.

Additional pay for evening and overnight shifts!

White Bear Heights Senior Living is a beautiful senior living community overlooking wetlands in White Bear Lake. We have 112 units as a mixture of Independent and Assisted Living as well as Memory Care. We are located conveniently near highways 35E and 96 by Byerly’s/Lunds and Cub Foods. We are looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide whom would be responsible for providing personal cares and designated health related services to enhance and/or maintain the assisted living or memory care residents’ physical and emotional well-being.

 

This caregiver schedule includes;

 

  • .9 FTE or 72 hours in two weeks
  • Day Shift Hours
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts
  • Under direction of Nurse provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Performs specified home services as needed such as; laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.
  • Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assists with on-boarding of new staff

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • If under 18, must be on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
  • Ability to communicate effectively, with empathy and compassion for residents and coworkers
  • Ability to work in a team setting and support others
  • Ability to work with a diverse and elderly population

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Previous work experience or formal training/education as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA or similar preferred
  • Work experience in a customer service setting preferred
