Overview

We are looking for a Receptionist to serve as the face of our Assisted Living Facility and act as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors and staff.  Position is responsible for clerical support to all departments needing assistance and will answer phones and greet visitors and vendors. 

 

This receptionist job for our senior living includes:

  • Casual Hours
  • Fill-in variable shifts

  • Requires working 3 shifts per month with one being a weekend and 1 holiday per year

Ebenezer Care Center is part of a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Long Term Care, Assisted Living and Independent Living.   We are located in the heart of Minneapolis, conveniently located along the many bus routes.   We serve a VERY diverse and cultured population among not only our residents but staff as well. 

 

Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Greets and provides courteous assistance to all whom enter the community 
  • Monitors security of the facility by unlocking entrances and monitoring those entering and exiting 
  • Clerical duties for various departments such as; mailings, petty cash account, distributes mail and transactions with resident funds 
  • Responds to medical, fire, maintenance and security emergencies per building policies and procedures 

Qualifications

  • Familiar with office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to type accurately and with efficiency 
  • Strong customer service aptitude  
  • High level verbal and written communication skills 
  • Basic math skills

Vaccination Update

As part of our ongoing efforts to protect the wellbeing of our teams and to provide a safe and healthy environment for the patients and communities we serve, all Ebenezer employees will be required to receive both an annual flu vaccination and the COVID-19 vaccination series. Current employees must have completed both vaccination schedules on or before January 4, 2022.

Any new hires who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to receive their first dose prior to their start date and their second dose (if receiving Moderna or Pfizer vaccines) within 4 weeks of their start date. Annual flu vaccinations are also required before the employment start date for employees who begin employment during the flu season. Accommodations requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
