Overview

  • Starting wage of $15.00/hour and guaranteed wage increase of $2.00 over the course of the first year of employment.

Join our growing team at The Pillars Child Care, managed by Ebenezer and located in Minneapolis, MN.  We are looking for a passionate Child Care Teacher Aide to join our team of amazing professionals.  Our brand-new beautiful campus that we share with The Pillars of Prospect Park Senior living has been designed to give daily opportunities to interact and build friendships between the children and their Grand-friends.  We offer a unique program that brings multiple generations together in a stimulating co-learning environment.  Pillars teachers will work together to create a loving, positive, respect filled early childhood environment with promotes cognitive, social-emotional and physical development.

 

Under the supervision of the Lead Teacher and the Assistant Teacher the Aide will assist the teacher in the supervision and care of the children in the assigned age group. Part-time schedule includes;

  • 80 hours every two weeks
  • Monday- Friday

Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Implementing developmentally age appropriate curriculum
  • Maintaining a child friendly and orderly classroom
  • Implementing effective guidance and support strategies
  • Coordinate and contribute to the teaching team
  • Supervises health, safety, and overall, wellbeing of children at all times
  • Participates in program areas such as intergeneration activities
  • Maintaining certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT.

High School diploma or equivalent

 

Experience working with children and knowledge of early childhood development

Vaccination Update

As part of our ongoing efforts to protect the wellbeing of our teams and to provide a safe and healthy environment for the patients and communities we serve, all Ebenezer employees will be required to receive both an annual flu vaccination and the COVID-19 vaccination series. Current employees must have completed both vaccination schedules on or before January 4, 2022.

Any new hires who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to receive their first dose prior to their start date and their second dose (if receiving Moderna or Pfizer vaccines) within 4 weeks of their start date. Annual flu vaccinations are also required before the employment start date for employees who begin employment during the flu season. Accommodations requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
