Overview

This Assistant early education childcare teacher position is eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus! 

  • Starting wage of $14.69/hour and guaranteed wage increase of $2.00 over the course of the first year of employment.

Riley Crossing opened in 2019 and is one of our newest senior living communities located in Chanhassen, MN near Hwy 101 and County Road 212.  We offer Independent/Assisted Living, Enhanced, Memory Care, and our innovative on-site intergenerational childcare and interactive programming with our seniors.   Managed by Ebenezer, our mission is to heal, discover, educate for longer, healthier, more meaningful lives.   

 

We are looking for a Substitute Assistant Child Care Teacher to support Ebenezer’s Intergenerational program by caring for and teaching the children in their assigned age group. Assistants will teach, plan and organize childcare program activities to ensure that the program provides the highest quality childcare available.

Assistant teacher schedule includes;

  • 40 hours every two weeks

Responsibilities/Job Description

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Implementing developmentally age appropriate curriculum
  • Maintaining a child friendly and orderly classroom
  • Implementing effective guidance and support strategies
  • Coordinate and contribute to the teaching team
  • Supervises health, safety, and overall well being of children at all times
  • Participates in program areas such as intergeneration activities
  • Maintaining certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Associate Degree- Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota 9503.0032

Preferred Education

Two years full time post-secondary education with 9 quarter or 6 semester early childhood/child psychology or related field coursework.

Must meet Department of Human Services Rule 3 assistant teacher qualifications

Vaccination Update

As part of our ongoing efforts to protect the wellbeing of our teams and to provide a safe and healthy environment for the patients and communities we serve, all Ebenezer employees will be required to receive both an annual flu vaccination and the COVID-19 vaccination series. Current employees must have completed both vaccination schedules on or before January 4, 2022.

Any new hires who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to receive their first dose prior to their start date and their second dose (if receiving Moderna or Pfizer vaccines) within 4 weeks of their start date. Annual flu vaccinations are also required before the employment start date for employees who begin employment during the flu season. Accommodations requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
